Mufasa Biltong, a leading provider of high-quality biltong products, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team as a maternity replacement. This is an initial 9-month contract position, with the possibility of full/part time after the initial contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing product knowledge, answering inquiries, and assisting customers with their purchases.
- Actively engage with customers to promote Mufasa Biltong products, identify their needs, and offer suitable product recommendations.
- Maintain store cleanliness and merchandise displays to ensure a visually appealing shopping environment.
- Handle cash and payment transactions accurately, ensuring till balances at the end of each shift.
- Assist in stock replenishment and inventory management, including receiving and organizing merchandise shipments.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and participate in promotional activities.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in sales or retail is preferred, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage and interact with customers and colleagues.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain store cleanliness and merchandise displays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as per the store's opening hours.
- Reside preferably South of the River in Perth for ease of commute.
