Instagram has been testing a rectangular grid for some users, rather than square.

What does this mean?

Currently, when you look at your own grid, posts are all in neat squares. But now Instagram is experimenting with these posts being rectangular (AKA, in a 4:5 aspect ratio), like they are on TikTok.

Let's see if this continues to be rolled out!

Instagram Chief Flags Coming Changes to Profile Grid Displays Instagram’s moving to a more rectangular main profile grid.

We knew you could add music to posts, but now you can add a song to your Instagram profile!

On Threads, Instagram’s Creators account said, “We’re rolling out the ability to add a song to your profile, giving you more ways to express yourself through music on Instagram!”

You can change the song anytime, reflecting your current favourite tune.

TikTok has launched group chats in the DMs, with users able to create a group discussion with up to 32 people.
