Just confirmed our first touring artist for 2022 and it's someone we've brought over before - any guesses?

We've enjoyed a little time off but it's time to get out and see some dance floors, where have you all been getting your fix since we closed?

This one's for Kye Brindley - An absolute specimen. Having worked at the venue long before MVMNT or Nevermind Smallclub came to be, Kye stayed on as we took the reins 4 years ago and has been instrumental in the success of our venue and the building of our cultural fabric. Seeing him grow over the years into the man he is today has filled everyone at the venue (and no doubt our wonderful patrons) with so much pride. We're sure there's nothing but bright lights and success in his future, wherever that may take him and we thank him for his service.

***PSA*** We have made the hard decision and decided to cancel tonight's event and close the club.

As if we haven't been through enough lately, the weather gods have decided to shower us in H2o turning the courtyard and laneway into swimming pools (along with the rest of Perth). This means tomorrow and Sunday will be the last two events ever at Nevermind - be early if you can it's expected to be capacity within minutes.

PSA 😢

To all our friends, family and fans, it is with much sadness that we are finally able to publicly confirm the rumours you may have heard over the past few months:

Due to the unresolvable situation with our landlord and his desire to redevelop the building it is our belief that we will soon be forced to close forever, with the most likely date being the 13th of July. This is a fight we’ve been waging for many months behind the scenes and will continue as long as there’s hope, however on the advice of our legal team we wanted to make this statement public now.

This would mean we potentially have just this weekend and two more left with our final event being MVMNT on the 11th of July.

This seems like as good a time as any to thank every single person who has dj’d, supported, worked, or attended our rag tag operation over the last 4 years including all the interstate and overseas DJ’s and agents who’ve helped us carve out our place in the world and to invite you all down to dance with us in what may be the final few weeks of our dream together.

Stay tuned for what comes next, including parties at other spaces during our break from home ownership and of course don’t be shy if you see us at the club over the next few weeks, one last hug will go a long way.

High chance of a few sherbets next weekend 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Big news today for thousands of WA venues: this Wednesday Western Australia will proceed to Phase 5 of eased restrictions, and remove all COVID-related capacity limits.

That means that all venues will be allowed to return to 100% of their pre-COVID capacity, and all major events will be able to occur with no limit on size or crowds.

Venues will still be required to maintain contact registers and use the SafeWA app and have COVID Safety Plans in place. COVID Event Plans will also still be required for major events.

This change follows updated health advice, and means that Western Australia will continue to lead the way in having some of the lightest restrictions in the world.

It’s another big step, and it will mean a lot to many local businesses who’ve worked hard to keep going through challenging conditions over the past 15 months.

Our controlled interstate border, and the international hard border, will remain in place – and are once again essential for allowing us to ease these restrictions within our State.

While we’re confident that we can safely take this step, it’s crucial that Western Australians continue to do the right thing, so that if COVID-19 does make its way into our State we remain ready.

That means exercising good personal hygiene, signing in when you visit a venue, staying home if you are unwell and getting tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19.

It’s also crucial that every Western Australian gets vaccinated when they are eligible – it remains our best way out of this pandemic.

This is an exciting step for our State – and is only possible because of everyone’s hard work throughout this pandemic.
