Not many people know this about the Formlabs Fuse 3D printers.
The Fuse 1 and Fuse 1+ 30W are SLS 3D printers, meaning that they sinter nylon powder to create an object. Because of this, even when the print is complete, the part is still buried in nylon powder.
Cleverly, the Fuse series helps the operator by printing a small nameplate at the very top of the build chamber. This means when the operator is excavating the 3D print from the excess powder, they can easily identify which job was just printed.
Additionally, the cameras in the Fuse printers allow the operator to see the nameplate on the machine’s screen.

One of our excellent engineers has just finished our latest 3D scan.
Using the scanner, Jason efficiently developed a new gasket profile for our client's turbine pumps.
The process involves creating a profile of the object using the 3D scanner. This profile is then imported into 3D modelling software and analysed to create a dxf drawing.
This workflow allows our team to transfer details from real world objects into a digital space, where we can work with them freely.

With the completion of our new Formlabs resin suite, including the 3L we can now make much larger prints with improved material properties. Using our carefully controlled cleaning and curing process we can cure engineering materials like tough 2000, flexible resins and more.
This batch was created using flexible resin. In a short time-frame we were able to product a large number of 3D printed parts to meet our clients specifications.
