The Perth Basketball Association has launched a campaign to build a new 12-court stadium in Perth's inner suburbs.

Ryan Lenegan is the CEO of the PBA, he told Christian Horgan on ABC Radio Perth that basketball is the fastest growing team sport in Australia but not everyone who wants to play is able.

"We have 1,000 kids on our waiting list, a thousand juniors cannot play basketball because we cannot provide facilities for them."

The court is proposed to be built in Kensington at the Department of Agriculture site, as the department is moving.

Existing Raiders members have been sent Registration details. Emails have been sent to the email you registered with (on Play HQ) last season.

Registrations for new members will open if there is capacity.

Details regarding the registration for U8 (Yr 1&2) Development programs will come out in next few weeks.
