Aurora
Aurora: Roman goddess of the dawn and new beginnings. Auspicious - full of promise and optimism.
Well, lovely people, the band had a chat a couple of weeks ago and we came, with heavy hearts, to a decision.
We have to announce that Aurora, at least in its current line-up, is no more. There were no fights, no “artistic differences”, no temperamental “diva” walkouts; we simply found it increasingly difficult to get our schedules to align: it’s as simple as that.
I have to say that I’ve loved working/playing with my brothers, Chris Nicoloff and Rob Hammett and I’m proud of the gigs and the two full albums that we’ve managed to assemble, despite obstacles and time constraints (they’re out there now, no matter what) but it’s probably time now to let this particular project take a well-earned rest.
So, what about the future?
I think there’s a pretty good chance that Skye (Rob) and I might continue to make music together in some form or other, but these are things to be hashed out in the coming days and months. I wonder if we might form a rock covers band and still include a few original songs to keep things interesting. Maybe? Well, we’ll see, but rest assured that I have no intentions of giving up anytime soon!

I already posted this on my personal page, but in case you missed it here's a rough idea of one of the songs. Just as a taster, this is a stripped-down acoustic version of a song called "Catharsis".
