Image Dive and Charters
Perth best dive charter and Private function party boat
Wasn’t too bad out there today.
This week the Fisheries just changed the rules for our fishing license.
It looks like we can take 80 crayfish when we are not in the Rottnest Island reserve when it stays at the current 24. This still comes to a maximum 8 per person.
Working on that most of you don't really like crayfish that much, it isn't likely to change anything with our current charters.
And let's be honest if we pulled 80 crays off a site it would be a bit bland and dull next time we went there.
You could also take crays home from the Abrolhos Islands next year if you wanted them in your car for 4 hours:)
We would like to introduce the latest team member”Jack “.
He is full of air and fills the hire cylinders and banks quickly letting me go hone earlier after a dive trip 😀
And just like that 4 days of long hours and hard work. A fresh coat of antifoul, new shaft bearing, clean and inspect the fuel tanks and the props away to shop for a tune up (we have the old little ones until they come back next week)
Thanks again to the yard for getting us in and out safe.
Don't forget perfect conditions for Rottnest dives on Sunday.
,
Did someone say crayfish for dinner? Don’t forget we have a 24 crayfish limit everyday.
A confirmed report has come in of Orcas at Rottnest again. Not only 20 m vis but the chance to see an Orca on your Rottnest dive trip. As well as take your crayfish home now!
The WA currents do strange things.
Breakaway FAD’s epic 4,000km drift! – Recfishwest Breakaway FAD’s epic 4,000km drift! August 27, 2024August 27, 2024 Share Tweet A break-away FAD has been “at large” for an epic 4,000km-plus drift up to Shark Bay, before looping back and eventually beaching at Walpole on the South Coast (see map below). FAD #6 broke off from its anchor point ...
We had a confused little visitor out 6mile toady. He flew away and we hope he made it back into the wind.
A couple of Minke Whales came past but only 2 people saw a shape in the water.

Having a slapping time out wide today. The Humpbacks are not in close yet but soon.
For those of you that thought about diving and didn’t come . One of the best days of the year
A quick cut of the local dive. We ended up with 6-8 Minke Whales on the safety stop. Then they followed the boat as we left.
I'll leave this one hear until I put the rest of the dive footage together. 19 degrees 12-15m vis. You have to be in it to win it!
20 degrees n the water and 19m vis out at Rottnest Island this morning.
Parked up for our afternoon walk at the Abrolhos Islands. Much easier than a dinghy ride like most afternoons.
Weather looks perfect for Sunday's dive, take advantage of the weather window. A few more divers and we will be going.
We finished our last trip of the year at the Abrolhos Islands yesterday. We had great trips with great people and are looking forward to planning next year’s trips in the coming weeks.
We left Geraldton yesterday afternoon chasing the rainbow to Jurien Bay and didn’t find the pot of gold. As there are white caps in the harbour we will drive the rest of the way tomorrow.
Yeah who would want to be at the Abrolhos?
We just got in from another great trip out at the Abrolhos Islands and getting ready for a last trip of this year before heading back to Hillarys for the June long weekend.
We had a few highlights with 25.5 degrees in the water on Friday, It cooled off to 24 the next day as the current changed.
The divers also found a number of fresh water seeps. Mainly they felt cold and looked and saw the different hazzy water coming out of the reef.
Last night at the Abrolhos Islands. Not a bad place to be.
Almost at the Abrolhos Islands for day 1 of the trip.
Good news for some of you.
We have secured a highly overpriced fishing licence so you can take crayfish home now.
We are still governed by standard bag limits. You are not required to pay a licence fee to fisheries as you are covered by the boats licence.
We just got in from a great trip out to the Abrolhos Islands. Fish, coral, warm water, good vis what more could you ask.
We dived a few new spots and found a fresh water seep and some old cave formations ( solution tubes) that happened when the area was dry and not at 15m.
