Join Public Libraries Victoria on 8 August as PLV CEO Angela Savage chats with acclaimed writers and Warm Winter Read Ambassadors Pip Williams and Kate Mildenhall.
Pip Williams is best known for her companion novels, The Dictionary of Lost Words and The Bookbinder of Jericho. Since its publication in 2020, The Dictionary of Lost Words has been translated into more than thirty languages and is an international best seller. It has won a number of major Australian book awards.
Kate Mildenhall is a writer who lives in Melbourne. Her debut novel, Skylarking was published in Australia by Black Inc. in 2016 and in the UK by Legend Press in 2017. Skylarking was longlisted for the Voss Literary Prize 2017 and the Indie Book Awards 2017.

Wyndham City Libraries next VCE Study Club workshop will be devoted to Chemistry. With the end of year Chem exam fast approaching, our expert teacher will recap the key concepts from Unit 3 and provide you with a headstart to Unit 4 content to help you excel with your assessment.
Topics covered will include fuels and energy, electrochemical cells, rate of reactions, extent of reactions, categories of organic compounds, and reactions and analysis of organic compounds.
Whilst this workshop is designed for students studying VCE Chemistry Units 3 and 4, all interested Chemistry students are welcome to attend.
