On Monday we are thrilled to welcome Dr Brooke Healey back to our clinic after some extended leave. Brooke is now available for bookings in both Port Fairy & Koroit. For those of you that have not yet had the pleasure to meet Brooke here is a little introduction.

Brooke grew up in New Zealand, before moving to Australia for university. Brooke graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science, then moved to Geelong to complete a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Deakin University.

Brooke lived in Ballarat in 2022 while undertaking an advanced skill year in Palliative Care Medicine. This led to the completion of a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. Brooke will continue to work with the local palliative care team one day a week and also hopes to bring her skills to her general practice work.

Brooke loves travelling and has done a bit over the past 6 months across both Europe and Asia - top highlights including the Sant Jeroni mountain hike in Montserrat, Spain and spending time with family in Singapore and Malaysia.

In her spare time, Brooke loves to spend time with her family and two gorgeous dogs (Chewbacca the golden retriever and Bosco the Jack Russell), cooking, and tending to her vegetable garden.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr Heather Han will be joining our Practice on Monday the 5th February 2024. Dr Han is now available for bookings in Port Fairy. Here is a little about Dr Heather Han.

I grew up in South Korea and Canada prior to moving to the US for my undergraduate degree. I was working in genetics research for neurodegenerative diseases when an opportunity arose to live on a small Northern Gulf Island. Inspired by our local GP there, I commenced my studies in medicine at the University of Melbourne in 2017 then went on to work at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. After 7 years in the city, I am thrilled to return to regional living and start my generalist training in Port Fairy.

Outside of work, you might see me running or cycling if I haven't managed to head out bush for a hike. Hopefully you'll soon spot me catching a wave or a fish as well, once I learn the art of those sports!
