Gorgeous Peggysue has been patiently waiting for her adoption. She is an affectionate and caring 2 year old mumma to her kitten Paddy and gets on well with other cats and dogs in her foster home. She has a gorgeous tabby coat with patches of gold in her stripes that look amazing as she lays in the sunshine. Pretty little Paddy is a golden tortie tabby she is small for her age and was born with twisted back legs which have now straightened out allowing her to run and play like a normal kitten she may need an operation later on when fully grown. She loves playing on her scratchie pole and likes the 2nd top shelf where she can see out the window. She is used to 5 other cats and 2 dogs and sleeps with her mum Peggysue they have identical colours and markings and enjoy lots of fun and games. Ideally, a loving home together would be wonderful.

*THE POWER OF MICROCHIPPING*
MEET MAGGIE. Maggie is a male for starters. Originally thought to be female so given the name Maggie and it just stuck. His elderly owner passed away last year and family members took him in. Just before Christmas 2022, during the changeover and mourning he went missing. Yesterday, we received a call from a lovely resident who has finally trapped a cat who had been hanging around for months and was clearly lost. She brought him to the Shelter. We scanned him and to our surprise he was microchipped, registered and up to date. We contacted them and they quickly arranged for a family member to collect him. They were looking for him and even messaged our Shelter page back in June, still hopeful he would eventually turn up. We contacted them today to check on him and ask to share his story - "Thank you, I'm so relieved his ok and back home to me. My mum spoiled her cats so him being on his own for that long, I'm surprised he made it." The message here is to ensure your pets are microchipped, registered and up to date. Also don't give up on missing cats. They are mysterious. He was missing for 7 months and now finally home!
