We couldn't have anticipated such an incredible turnout, and we are so grateful that so many people chose to wait for a tour or coffee despite the weather and time. Fiona shared, "Walks like this are special because my Nan had dementia and my uncle is living with it." Nicola added, "Even though it was wet, we had a lot of fun. Working at Emmaus Village makes it even more special."

Fr Paul Gooley today celebrated the first mass in our newly renovated St Teresa of Kolkata chapel at Emmaus, much to the delight of the residents, staff, family, and friends. A blessing of dedication was also given to mark this special occasion.
As we reflect, we also wanted to share a glimpse into the incredible craftsmanship behind the two stained-glass panels in the chapel, which were locally created by That Leadlight Guy and feature St Teresa of Kolkata, Jesus, and the Road to Emmaus.
The official re-consecration of the chapel will take place later in the year.
It might be raining today, but it won't be long until our residents will be enjoying sunsets like these from the entertainment deck!
