What a Sunday! Congratulation to every single one of you completing the 3Rivers Mini Marathon's 25km course! Amazing effort from all of you! Results link in Bio! RECORD ALERT! Congrats to the men's quad (morelikely a mixed one with Jo Croker on board) from the Mannig River Rowing Club for absolutely smashing the previous all time absolute course record by a bit more than 4minutes. New best time is 1hour 35mins 56 seconds. And also Massive Congratulation to the Lake Macquarie RC, Leichardt RC, Mosman RC composite women's quad who also smashed the previous absolute course record by 3,5minutes and setting a new Womens quad record with a time of 1hour 36minutes 30seconds. This is a unique opportunity for both competitive and recreational racers to paddle through some exquisite countryside, with all the backup of the support and rescue boats. This event caters to competitive and recreational paddlers alike. For the competitive racer, it represents an opportunity, as a half marathon, for a “sprint” . For the recreational paddler, it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t require the training commitment of a full marathon. It’s also an opportunity for people in the community to get teams together in an atmosphere that’s both convivial and competitive. And to meet and greet competitors from out of town. Warm up on the couch and then a couple PB 💪💪. Amongst the competitors for this Sunday's 2021 NSW State Indoor Rowing Championships, Port Macquarie Rowing Club was represented by two upcoming young guns, Thomas Jenkins and Isaiah Chandler. In a challenging back to back 2km, 1km and 500m ergo races they set new PB's for themselves and did the club proud. Results: U16 Mens - Thomas Jenkins 2000m - 3rd Place 1000m - 4th place 500m - 4th place U19 Mens - Isaiah Chandler 2000m - 2nd place 1000m - 2nd place 500m - 3rd place Given we are only at the start of the season, this promises to be a highly competitive year. Today some PMRC members rowed and paddled down the Wilson , Maria and Hastings rivers. The weather was lovely and Iam sure a good time was had by all that participated. Even if they where a little sore getting out of the boats. 🤣🤣. Hopefully next year the PMRC can host the 3 Rivers Marathon as usual and welcome everyone along. Enjoy the video
