Our sincerest sympathies to the family of Kath Philpot.
Kath joined her children into scouting within our group many years ago and Kath still supported our group up until her passing.
Kath lovingly made our two wreaths each and every year for ANZAC Day as part of her continued support.
We will surely miss you Kath. Rest in Peace my friend.

Boat Shed update:
Today is moving in day.
Thank you to Adam, Peter, Paul, Andy, Brian, Michael and Tracey for your time, effort and dedication to this project and helping to move our fleet into our shed.
Thank you Neville for originally having the boats then a huge thank you to Peter and family for giving up their shed space to store the fleet for when we had to move them half way through the build process.
Thank you to Brian and Tracey and their family for giving up their garage space to store a trailer for the whole duration of the demolition and build of the boating centre.
This project is now completed. We shall now organise our shed opening ceremony with the date and time to be announced...
Definitely something worth going to and participating in...
1st Port Macquarie Sea Scouts Boating Centre update:
Occupany Certificate was issued on 31st October 2023.
Our first vessel is now stored in the boating centre.
Sorry everyone, we did try for 2023
A little bit of history in this photo of what our original hall in Buller Street looked like..
Many of you would remember or even do scouts in this hall.
Give us a shout out in the comments to let us know our formers scouters and long term locals.
Our latest addition to the hall.
A new V shaped sign out the front of the hall to draw our attention to the group even more.
We are no longer known as the unknown big white building in Buller Street with hall hire signs on it.
The 2 trees we needed to supply, plant in McInherney Park, and now water for the next 12 months are in.
This gives us all jobs completed and ready for full sign off of our project.
Watch this space for photos of stocking the shed of our gear and then the opening ceremony of the shed to be organised.
Photo supplied by Adam Rumble.
Our boat shed is finally completed and now ready for DA sign off and occupancy certificate issued. Wow, after many years of pipeline dreams to meetings and then action we are at the end of the project. Well done to our boat shed committee in sorting this build for the group.
The racking for the boats and masts is now complete and ready for our fleet to move in.
A huge thank you and shout out to Jeff Walsh of JS & CJ Walsh Builders for all your expertise and hard work in decking the shed out with the racking.

The boat shed rebuild project finish line is getting closer.
The bollard between our shed and The Sailing Club is now in place. This is another job ticked off the list of things to do.
Yee haa - we have two more jobs to do which is to plant 2 trees to replace the one tree we removed for the boat shed rebuild and build our boat storage racks.
Once the trees are planted our DA is complete and ready for DA sign off.
Port Macquarie Hastings Council has a little job to do as well to help comete this project. This is a "watch this space" type surprise.
Painting is now complete. Thank you to Steve Smith Painter and Decorator for painting the shed for us.
The shed is looking brilliant.
I've added a couple of early morning photos of the view for all to enjoy.
What a wonderful piece of the world we live in!
Boat shed update: progress slowed down for a few weeks whilst we took time to breath.
Last weekend 17th June Brian and Tracey painted the first coating of anti-graffitti paint on the brickwork.
Saturday 24th June the turf was laid to start the beautification work. Thank you Grow Lush for supplying the turf and thank you to Adam for your work in laying the turf.
A few jobs will start this week to have our DA completed within the next few weeks.
Thank you everyone for helping us celebrate 90 years of Scouting in Port Macquarie. We had a wonderful day on Sunday catching up with friends from over the years of scouting and watching past scouters catch up with each other and reminisce of their days of scouting together. Here are a few photos from our photographer, Michael Walsh. Thank you Michael for capturing the day for us.
Please feel free to share any photos you have either of the 90 year celebration or even past or present photos of our group with us either here on fb or email Tracey/Shada/Group Leader: [email protected]
I would also like to do a huge shout out to Port Macquarie Jumping Castles for hiring your velcro/sticky wall to us for the event. Your team and wall are a wonderful asset to your business.
We are all set up ready for you to join us between 10am and 2pm today
Our boat shed is now at lock up stage. It is sooo wonderful to be at this point...
Boat shed update: Scaffolding is now down, water is also connected, clearing of the site has started ready for the next part of the work to start.

A HUGE shout out and thank you to a couple of our Committee members, Adam and Peter, plus Adam's brother and Adam's son for the massive 8 hour project of replacing the timber decking at the scout hall to make the deck safe again.
The deck just needs coating now and it's another project completed.
Update photos of our boat shed re-build. These are from the week just gone.
Just the roller doors to go on, site to be cleared, occupancy certificate issued then we can work on the paint job, then fitting out the shed.
I am a week behind in photo updates of the boat shed.
Here are the photos from last weeks work.
The roofing and gutter is now installed on the shed.
I will post this weeks updated photos in the next day or two.
Everyone is invited to attend this event.
Please share this advert to all your friends and family. Let's make this a wonderful celebration with past and present scouters joining and having fun together.
Our boat shed is going ahead in leaps and bounds now....
The bricks are done and now ready for the cladding to start
It's getting a bit exciting. All framework is now up. We have roller door holes, roofline in and some sheeting on some of the walls.
