There are those who will tell you that your desires or wants are based in fear or insecurity or wounding, because then you will feel silly, embarrassed, ashamed, or ridiculous for wanting them…and they don’t have to deal with how your growth impacts their place in your world.

The people that ridicule, shame or try to use words like projection or trauma in the wrong context aren’t the most damaging to your desires.

You are, when you listen to them, and you make them right, and your inner voice wrong.

Please give yourself permission tomorrow, when you wake up, (even if you do nothing about it) give yourself permission to HAVE a want, or a desire, or a love to.

Don’t dismiss it for being unnecessary, don’t put it aside because it’s too hard to think about, give yourself permission, just for a day, to allow yourself, to have the wanting, the desire, that you do. For no other reason, than because you want to.

Even if you do nothing with it.

Allow it to exist.

Allow yourself to have it.

Allow it to just be there, calling you a little, even if just a whisper 🤫
