Did you know Hessian sacks are the default choice for shipping green beans around the world? These are made from natural fibres including jute, h**p, sisal. After roasting the beans, we end up with quite a pile. We're always happy to talk to anyone who can repurpose them to reduce waste and give them a new life. To date we’ve had:
- gardeners using them for w**d matting, walking paths or lining wicking beds
- carry bags for firewood suppliers
- a local school even used them for sack races on sports day
