Last year, the Dragons π took home the trophy with an amazing performance. Will they dominate the field again this year, or will another house rise to the challenge and steal the crown? π
Encourage students to get their house colours ready to make this year's carnival the best one yet! Whether their a fierce competitor or an enthusiastic supporter, every bit of spirit counts.
Remember, it's not just about winning β it's about coming together as a school community, showing sportsmanship, and having a blast.
Reminder: Unfortunately, we don't allow parents on site for the carnival, tomorrow. This rule has been in place for many years. We understand that this may be disappointing, but we have the best interests of the student's safety in mind.

Future Business Entrepreneurs
This term, our Year 9 Business and Economics students took part in the innovative Future Anything program! π They became budding entrepreneurs, developing solutions for some of the world's biggest challenges.
On Thursday, we held a fantastic event where our students showcased their business ideas through an Enterprise Display and a Shark Tank pitch. Our panel of judges included Kathryn Porrit from Kathrynporritt Inc, Marian from Future Anything, and our Deputy Principal, Ms. Percy.
The energy was electric as students excitedly pitched their ideas to judges, parents, and peers.
π Congratulations to Miller, Ronnie, Karene, and Deng for winning the top prize with 'Heartfelt Hugs & Co,' offering personalised weighted blankets and care packages.
π The People's Choice Award went to Junior, Tyrese, Lazarus, and James from Reckin Racism for their amazing cultural-based customized shoes!
Kathryn Porrit summed it up perfectly: βThere were some amazing ideas. The future of entrepreneurs is bright in Ipswich, thatβs for certain.β
Kudos to all our students for turning their business dreams into reality! Your creativity and hard work are truly inspiring! πβ¨
Health on the Horizon
Last Thursday, our senior students with a passion for a career in the health industry attended the Career Expo in Brisbane.

This event, a collaborative effort by Queensland Health, the Health Gateway to Industry School's Program, and various health organisations across Queensland, aimed to connect students with industry leaders and explore exciting healthcare career paths.
It was a fantastic chance for our students to network, delve into their areas of interest, and enjoy a day out with their peers! Mrs Roz Bowd, our Link n Launch Manager, also established valuable connections with these organisations to further enhance opportunities, ensuring a smooth and successful post school transition into Year 13.
