Please observe event entry terms and conditions at the gate. You are agreeing to these terms on entry.

🙏🏻Thank you to each seller who made the effort (some with super early starts!) to come along and support the event. Everyone did the right thing and were patient with us at the gate and parking, which absolutely does not go unappreciated! 😉
Thank you to most buyers who did the right thing with cages/boxes. Unfortunately there were a few who believed they were above the rules. 📦 These people won’t be welcomed back.

🚨📆 We had a lot of enquiries re the next event date, and we are looking at early Feb 2024, with a possible venue change to account for the tropical weather Rocky experiences and some additional childrens entertainment added into the event.
Keep an eye out for the announcement in the next couple of weeks! 🎤

It’s quiet sad we have to post this, however…
Unfortunately we’ve been made aware of untrue rumours circulating the local area regarding the next CQ Poultry meet not going ahead.

We can confirm the event IS going ahead as scheduled and there is absolutely NO TRUTH in this gossip and Chinese-whispers.

We urge anyone who hears these stories to set the record straight, and if anyone is ever in any doubt regarding any facts surrounding the event, to contact us directly instead of repeating hear-say without facts to back up the claims. It’s not hard to message/email/phone us to seek clarity prior to spreading gossip.

We have been tied up with school holidays and running businesses, however this week we will list current seller lots in a pinned post to the page.

🤯 Wow! What a morning!

The first CQ Poultry Meet certainly exceeded our expectations. Special thanks must go to all of the sellers, especially those who travelled long distances to support the event. We can’t do it without you!

🙏🏻Thanks, as always, to Sam at Norths Knights Junior Rugby League. We also can’t run the meet without a venue!

Thank you also to everyone who was patient with us at the gate. Both to sellers coming in for our first set up, and buyers who were keen to come in early to grab some chickens. We weren’t expecting so many people so early in the morning, or for our first event!

🙇🏻‍♀️Unfortunately though, there were a few buyers doing the wrong thing. I’m going to be like a broken record regarding BYO boxes/cages for future events. We ensured this was clear from the get-go, and boxes were available for a gold coin donation to the Rugby club- you just had to ask. BUT there were buyers STILL without this key part of the process. We don’t want the meet shut down. So if you’d like these events to keep running- PLEASE, for the love of poultry, do the right thing transporting your stock!

🥁Onto the best part though….This is also a date-claimer post!
The next meet will be Sunday 12th November. More specific details will follow on our page once finalised.

🧐We’ve learnt so much today, and know where we can improve things to make the next event even more of a success for all.
If you know of any sellers, breeders or interested suppliers, please let them know about the meet. We understand some buyers were disappointed and missed out on purchases, so we’d love to get more sellers onboard, now that breeding season is really ramping up.

It is your responsibilty to complete your own research on the breed/type you are buying, to ensure you are aware of the responsibilities of owning poultry prior to purchases.
