With a catalogue of seven top-40 albums and 11 top-40 singles, they've sold over 30 million albums worldwide. The band's classic lineup, featuring Randy Bachman, Fred Turner, Tim Bachman, and Robbie Bachman, released two albums in 1973. The most successful lineup, which included Blair Thornton replacing Tim Bachman, produced four albums between 1974 and 1977, including two top-5 albums and the No. 1 single "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet." After a hiatus in 2005, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner reunited in 2009. While they stopped touring in 2018, a classic lineup reunion occurred in 2014 for the Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction. Sadly, both Robbie and Tim Bachman passed away in 2023. In 2023, Randy Bachman announced a new BTO tour, featuring his son Tal and his solo touring band.

Mental As Anything, an Australian new wave and pop rock band formed in Sydney in 1976, achieved significant success with their unique blend of catchy melodies and satirical humor. The core lineup, consisting of Martin Plaza, Reg Mombassa, Peter O'Doherty, Wayne de Lisle, and Andrew "Greedy" Smith, produced a string of hits including "If You Leave Me, Can I Come Too?", "Too Many Times," and "Live It Up." Their music, deeply rooted in Australian suburbia, often featured ironic and self-deprecating lyrics.
