If you're heading out for the ANZAC Day celebrations tomorrow, this is a great summary of events across our local area thanks to Rockhampton Regional Council.

🌅 Our favourite is always the Dawn Service, Rockhampton March, and RAAF Flypast. And, if you're feeling hungry after the events, the CQ Military Museum put on a fantastic breakfast/sausage sizzle with coffee and other refreshments.

What better way to honour those who served than by heading down and showing your support of our local ANZAC Day events, and all those involved in them!

The finishing touch on a new home - a ✨statement fence!

We supplied fencing for this new home a few years ago. The home-owner opted for powder-coated Aluminium Pool fencing, in their preferred profile & colour 🤍 of choice, with 2 gate systems to separate front & rear yards. It's certainly a good-looking fence, and it added the perfect finishing touch to this customer's brand new 🏡 home!

With 2 cyclones nearing our region this season, it's a reminder of why it's important to check your home regularly to ensure it'll hold up in a significant weather event. Here are a few suggestions from our team on what you can do now to be prepared:

1. Trim Trees - Especially those close to your home to ensure in the case of a cyclone or severe storm, damage from fallen branches/trees is minimised.

2. Clean your gutters - this allows for water to run seamlessly off your roof and ensures any blockages are removed before they become problematic.

3. Inspect gutters for damage - If your gutters have holes or rust damage, then consider getting your home re-guttered to prevent more damage to your home in severe weather.

4. Consider Leaf Guard - If your home has a lot of tree coverage, or your gutters are frequently blocked consider installing Leaf Guard to prevent debris blocks, and allow for water to drain off your roof. We stock a range of sizes to suit your gutter requirements.

5. Check Your Roof - if your roof has existing damage that goes undetected it could lead to further damage to not only your roof but your home. Look for damaged sheeting, rust damage, loose or rusted roof screws, and holes/cracks/splits. With fantastic help from the team at TMC Carpentry they transformed an old pool area into a fantastic outdoor entertainment area, complete with a custom-designed undercover structure, of which we supplied all roofing materials, and an outdoor fire pit. What a makeover!
