The boys doing some warranty testing, this cylinder came in after nine months on a drilling rig, our client said it was leaking but after testing and full checks no leaks were found. The Hydraulic Shop stands by our service up to 12 month returned to our workshop, this cylinder will now be resealed and returned to work for another 12 months work.

Year one down, we would like to thank our amazing staff for an amazing first year, as much as we hold the reins it is our staff who really give the shop the reputation of quality and high industry standard. The shop will be welcoming some new apprentices towards the end of the year and look to try and build on our great start.

What an amazing weekend, The Hydraulic Shop had two teams competing and both teams caught some good fish. We had few beers and a great weekend on the water.

Happy New Year to all, 2024 is promising to be a huge year for The Hydraulic Shop with new staff and all our apprentices moving up a year, with Fred in his final year of his apprenticeship and new equipment in the works we are looking forward to making this year a cracker.

The final set our Nitro struts for 2023 are finished and dispatched to their new home. Big thanks to the boys for the hard work and dedication in producing the only Australian Made Struts around, and designed and manufactured right here in Rockhampton.

Strapped ready for delivery, the finishing touches on another set of Nitro Ride struts leaving for the underground machines. These struts will be the suspension for an underground shuttle car in a week and be carrying black gold to the surface.

Big weekend getting a job across the line, when needed, the boys stepped up and sacrificed their weekend to meet the clients time frame. No machine failure or transport dramas can stop The Hydraulic Shop delivering the job on time. The Hydraulic Shop is proud of our Apprenticeship program, so again it is our pleasure to offer another young local a chance to gain the knowledge and skills to complete a fitter and turner apprenticeship. Starting in the new year we are calling all young men and women that may think Hydraulics is the direction they wish to persue, please forward your resume and short cover letter to [email protected]. The Hydraulic Shop is looking for a Hydraulic Fitter to join our team in the Rockhampton workshop.
Applicants must have current drivers license and must be committed to working safely with a focus on maintaining our high standard of workmanship.
We are looking for Hydraulic Repair experience in mainly cylinders, pumps and motors and effective maintenance and fault finding work on mechanical systems.
Must have strong focus on safety and a can do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Position is fulltime with overtime available depending on workload.

This year we have taken The Hydraulic Shop road show to the ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL MINING EXHIBITION (AIMEX) to promote our business and our region. This is our first year and by the inquiries we got, it has been a great move. We are not only promoting our business but Rockhampton as a hub for mining repair.
