Rawad went from unemployment to entrepreneurship!
Facing long-term unemployment, Rawad sought assistance at his local APM Employment Services in Modbury, Adelaide.
With the guidance of employment consultant Sherise, Rawad discovered his passion for car detailing and dreamt of starting his own business in the future.
Sherise took the time to understand Rawad's interests and motivations, building a strong rapport along the way. Their conversations and inspiring talks with Business Manager Matt ignited Rawad's drive and shifted his perspective.
With Sherise's help, Rawad updated his resume and began actively engaging with the support provided through the Workforce Australia program.
Soon after, an opportunity arose—a car detailing role at Alpine Crash Repair in a nearby suburb. Rawad aced the interview and started his new job the following week.
Sherise continued to support Rawad even after placement, assisting him in accessing funding to purchase necessary tools. Rawad expressed his gratitude, recognising the impact Sherise had on his journey to financial independence.
Today, Rawad is thriving in his role, eager to expand his knowledge and skills in the crash repair side of the business.
With newfound financial freedom, he plans to rent his own shed and turn his passion into a thriving detailing business.
