It is with deep shock and sadness that we hear of the loss of such an incredible person who gave his heart fully to Dragon Boating and its community. 2015, when we were introduced to Rick Fry and Nambucca River Dragons, none of us could have predicted that this relationship would span nearly a decade. We are profoundly saddened by the loss of such a remarkable, strong, and passionate individual. Over the years, we form many friendships, but this one will be memorable and in our hearts forever. We will miss seeing you Rick Fry at regattas and experiencing your infectious enthusiasm. x
We might be in hibernation at present but we snuck out to get in some technique training with the weather so perfect … great turnout and a great morning for some visual and practical learning
The Olympic torch travelled on a Dragon Boat!
We are taking a short break, but we will be back on the water starting Sunday, July 28th If you're interested in joining us for the new season, drop us a message. We will keep you informed about our return. Can't wait to see you all!
Deepwater Dragon Boat Club had a great final session for the season finishing off with a well earned breakfast
What is a long weekend of racing without a final night at the pub. Think there were a few dark glasses at breakfast the next morning … a hilarious night of lots of laughs and a little mischief 😂😂
A little delayed but so many photos to share of what was a great weekend at the Flamin Dragons Regatta, Day 2 saw some strong competition we held our own and we certainly could come away proud of how we worked together on and off the water.. fantastic weekend to finish the season

Well we had a great time but not sure any of us will make a detective
Deepwater are on their way and excited for the weekend of racing and team camaraderie ahead
Who thought we wouldn’t get out on the water this morning…. Skies cleared from the early morning downpour to ensure we got one last session in before the weekends regatta
Thanks Adam Crouch MP we can’t wait to spend it ready for the new season
👏 Congratulations to the awesome Deepwater Dragon Boat Club on receiving $2,655 for training paddles for their Learn to Paddle program!
Looking forward to continue to see the Club continue to grow 💪
A huge thankyou to Adam Crouch MP, Deepwater have been lucky to receive almost $3,000 for some training paddles for our Learn to Paddle programs planned for the new season ahead. Adam has always been so supportive of our Sport and Club. It certainly would have been much harder to grow our Club to where it is today without his continued support.
Stunning morning on the water today…
Great session today with 3 boats all but full.. starting to get a little chilly but perfect for winter training in preparation for the season ahead
