Unfortunately due to injuries and personal circumstances they played with only 10 players on day 1 and 11 players today they have finished in 3rd position ๐๐ 98% of the team have not picked up a stick since last July! Well done โบ๏ธ
Playing off for position tomorrow.

After 3 โcome n tryโ afternoon/nights and reviewing player numbers and also helpers it has been decided to cease the 6 aside for the interim. The cold weather and ongoing covid/influenza has also been a deciding factor in this.
The 6 aside will reset in October as we come back into daylight savings and also warmer weather.
In the meantime start organising your teams as October will be here before we know it! To enable a junior competition to proceed, we will need people DEDICATED to run this otherwise it will be only a senior competition from strictly 15years old.
We would like to thank everyone for their time help and effort while we trialled this.
Information will come out in September, see you in October.
We hope you at enjoying your long weekend
Hockey will resume next Monday 20th June from 4:30pm juniors and 6pm seniors

As we all know too well our ongoing dilemma year in year out with our grass fields not being of a playable SAFE standard in readiness for the season. Upper Hunter Shire Council is planning/proposing a new fee structure for 2022-2023
Currently our fees payable to UHSC each year is around $2600 and for this we get:
๐ MINIMAL maintenance (the parks and garden teams are fantastic and can only do what they can when they are allowed, directions are given from higher above)
๐ can only play 5 months of the year (shared grounds)
๐ we do not get discounted for washed out games/school holidays
Iโm not going to bore you with the complete breakdown but in a snap shot and going by the proposed document & fee structure in the link below, based on previous player numbers our ground fees are likely to jump from $2600 to $9200! And for that increase non of the above 3 points will change.
To have have an increase of that amount weโd want to be playing on a turf!!! So PLEASE
๐ have a read of the proposal ๐๐ป
