This is to help the Cancer Council raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer. The event will include a spread of delicious treats and of course, coffee and tea to help you start your day!

Bodyfit Feel Good Challenge Week 4 - Reading & Goal Setting 📖
Quality over quantity is the key.
Focus on enjoying the downtime, make sure it's time for you and your personal growth. Whether you're reading a fiction or non fiction book, don't focus on completing the book but rather being present when reading it. This will allow you to better digest what you're reading.
Be consistent. Even if it is only a page or two, make this a daily non-negotiable for your "you time".
All goals should be SMART: Specific / Measurable / Attainable / Realistic / Time based.
People always overestimate what can be achieved in a year but underestimate what can be achieved in 10 years. Stay consistent with your goal tracking and make it a part of your lifestyle in all aspects of your goals.

Bodyfit Feel Good Challenge Week 3 - Sleep & Nutrition 💤🥑
Disconnect, recharge and refuel!
DISCONNECT:
Giving yourself the right conditions to disconnect & recharge is crucial for a good night's sleep. To ensure you get the most from your sleep try these tricks:
1. Start dimming the lights, turning off bright lights (especially on all technology) and reduce all noise around you 30-45mins prior to planned bedtime.
2. Remove caffeine from your routine after 1pm (including caffeinated pre workout & coffee).
3. Be consistent with your sleep schedule - waking up and going to bed at the same time each day.
RECHARGE:
1. Make sure whilst sleeping you completely remove all light from the room.
2. Utilise soft music set to a sleep timer as you start to go to sleep, your body will start to recognise the routine and automatically fall asleep at the sound.
REFUEL:
1. Eat the rainbow - adding as much colour and variety to your diet as possible.
2. Add an extra serving of vegetables to each day.
3. Be conscious of what you eat.

Bodyfit Feel Good Challenge Week 2 - Steps & Hydrate 💧🚶
Routine + Environment = Foundation for Happiness
Plan your days in advance to give yourself the opportunity to get in incidental steps between daily tasks. For example, get off the bus one stop early and walk the rest of the way OR get up 15-20 mins earlier to go for a walk with a loved one.
There is no key amount of steps required per day. Set yourself a target to be proud of each day/week/month and get it done for YOU.
Set a reminder on your phone for every 30-45mins to "Rehydrate", this prompt will help to remind you to always pack a water bottle every time you leave the house.

Bodyfit Feel Good Challenge Week 1 - Breathe & Stretch
Breathe 💨
In addition to reversing the physical stress response in your body, deep breathing can also help calm and slow down the emotional turbulence in your mind.
Our first challenge is to introduce 60 seconds of 'Box Breathing' into your day. Set an alarm on your phone and try this method increasing by 30 seconds each week.
Exhaling to a count of four, holding your lungs empty for a four-count, inhaling at the same pace, and holding air in your lungs for a count of four before exhaling and beginning the pattern anew.
Stretch 🧘
Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints.
We would strongly recommend getting along to one of our yoga/pilates/flexibility classes that we offer in our clubs to give you a bit more guidance.

Mental Health Month is celebrated each year in the month of October in NSW.
We will encourage you to join us on a four week challenge to introduce some tasks that enable us to elevate our mental health and overall fitness.
The aim is to push yourself to tick off the tasks on the checklist - with a different primary focus each week.
We will be sharing tips, videos and support along the way!
