An Online Business Manager is...
NOT an Executive Assistant.

So many online entrepreneurs do NOT understand what an OBM does in a business and try to equate our roles with some kind of corporate title crossed with a virtual assistant.

OBMs are not there to check your inbox, manage your calendar, take notes in your meetings, post to your social media, build your funnels, or hold only YOU, as the CEO, accountable to get your own stuff done.

☑️ We lead, manage, hold accountable, and quite frankly, love on the team so they want to do their best work for the business. We make sure EVERYONE's stuff gets done!

☑️ We manage the day-to-day of the business OUR way, not as a mini-me to YOU. We are experts at this. Let us LEAD.

☑️ We are executive-level partners with you in your business. We will call you out on your stuff when it is hurting the business, the customers, and/or the team. We are not "yes-men."

I realize that every online business can benefit from and wants this level of partner in their business, but not every business (and CEO for that matter) is ready for an OBM.

You have to have a team to manage, a business with consistent revenue, be willing to delegate and not micromanage, and have the NEED for an OBM (day-to-day management). In short, this is not a minor role, it is the most important role next to the CEO of a small business.

Please stop posting that say... OBM/EA who is willing to post to social media and run operations. And especially at a low rate.

If someone is coming in to run your business as a leader and decision-maker, you can expect to pay them at a rate closer to what a partner would expect to receive (as a key decision-maker in the business)? An OBM is the most important role next to the CEO of a small business.

Shocking, I know. But would you run your business for the rate you are thinking of paying this person? Just something for you to think about.

An OBM is not the doer of the tasks, but the manager of the tasks. The leader of implementation, not the implementer.
