While shamans in the amazons of Brazil have gained prestige in the field of healthcare, druids (wise men from Celtic Europe) have been disappearing in the Old Continent. Diego Arregui, a contemporary druid, encourages the exchange of knowledge with those wise men in the Amazonas, in the state of Acre, Brazil.
This cultural exchange in the form of medicinal plants, inviting reflection on the protection of our planet, will enrich the experiences of the European druid, the American shamans and men at a global level. The documentary, Druidas y Chamanes, aims to act as a vehicle to pass on this wise knowledge “and raise people’s awareness of the call of the land”, which we hardly ever hear amongst so much noise and rushing around.
