Today Ireland lost a true talent.
Christy Dignam, what a great singer, songwriter and performer you were.
As a kid, my friend Aiden introduced me to the music of Aslan, and I was instantly taken in by Christys voice, and after that I spent many an hour sat at the end of my bed learning to play their songs.
Many of their gigs I attended over the years, the last being at The Quays in Galway, funny that Aiden was with me, and somehow we ended up in a lock in session upstairs with the band.
The lads couldn’t believe we made the trip down from Donegal just for their gig.
Thank you for your musical influence, and the magic you brought to us all ❤️
