Sunshine Coast Grammar School is thrilled to congratulate Year 11 Sunshine Coast Grammar School student, Daisy Quinn and Grammar Swimming Head Coach, Luke Stafford on their well-deserved selection to the Australian Junior Team for the Open Water Junior Swimming World Championships! 🏊🇦🇺

🥇🥇 Daisy is a two-time National Champion and is set to compete in the 7.5km event against the world's best open-water athletes in Italy in September this year.

Luke's appointment to the Australian coaching team is a testament to his dedication and expertise in nurturing swimming talents. We are proud to have him as Head Coach, his contributions have played a significant role in the remarkable achievements of our athletes and Club.

Thanks to all who came to our final club night of the year. Relay night is always so much fun and this year was no exception! Congratulations to The Banana’s for taking out relay championship and a big thank you to the man in the red suit for making an appearance ⚡️🎅⚡️

Congratulations Grace Brimelow who has secured her first International medal over in Vancouver at the 2023 Ken Demchuck Invitational. Grace won a 🥇 in the S9 Women’s 400m Freestyle and had an awesome race that came down to the wire with a swimmer from Team Ireland!

Grace was selected by Swimming Australia to go to Vancouver with Team Australia to get her international classification which is needed to be eligible to compete at next years Paralympics and congratulations to her Coach Charles Barry who was selected to be a team coach on the trip!

Well done Grace and best of luck making your dreams come true next year!

We are thrilled to share that Grammar Swimming Head Coach Luke Stafford has been appointed as the Head Coach for the 2023 Hancock Prospecting Swimming Queensland Open Water Team! 🏊‍♂️🏅

Under Coach Luke's guidance, our Club has achieved incredible success, securing regional, state, and national medals and most recently winning the Queensland Open Water Championships in October. Now, two of our talented swimmers, including Cerys Davis and rising star Daisy Quinn (Sunshine Coast Grammar School Year 10 student), are set to represent Queensland in the Open Water Championships in Western Australia this weekend for the Open Water Championships.

Daisy is a strong contender for the 10km event, having claimed Gold in the 16 Year 5km and 7.5km Australian Open Water Champions in Busselton earlier this year and Gold in the 10km Open Water Queensland Championships in October.

We take immense pride in the accomplishments of Head Coach Luke Stafford and its athletes and is confident they will continue to shine on the national stage.

Congratulations, Luke and Daisy! We can't wait to hear about your success at the Championships!
