The moment Joe and Helen saw their daughter, Mikaela in her wedding dress for the first time ❤️🥰
Yesterday was a roller coaster of emotions. Mikaela and Luke’s intimate wedding at brought out big laughs and happy tears from everyone. It was obvious that their love for each other was mirrored back to them by everyone else who attended.
I absolutely love capturing all of those candid and emotional images - but sometimes I want to do something with a little extra creativity.
We tried doing this shot earlier in the evening but had some *ahem* technical difficulty. So, we aborted mission and went on with the night.
But I wanted to try again. So just before I finished up, I asked them both to come outside to try one more time.
And in a few minutes, we did this ❤️
Thankyou and for letting me capture your special day. I can’t wait to share more with you!
My kids call macaroons “macaroonies” and I’ve unconsciously started referring to them as that 🙃

The ultimate chilled out, goofy, down to earth couple who’s wedding was just a pleasure to photograph 🥰
Anyone else feeling like this after today’s announcement on the NSW roadmap?
For those of you who missed it, October 11th has been announced as the day we’ll be getting some freedoms back.
For double vaccinated people, This includes small gatherings of 5 people inside your home, retail stores, gyms and restaurants opening, and hairdressers becoming operational again (go get your regrowth done!).
For weddings this means the cap on guests will be lifted to 50 and (no joke) DANCE FLOORS WILL BE OPEN!! 💃🏼🧑🏼🦽🕺🏼
Who’s keen as a bean for some freedom?!?
How I’m feeling about weddings being back 😭 Can’t wait to photograph all of my beautiful couples for the remaining of 2021 ❤️
Wedding are back on!
Let’s do this 😍
From Friday 3 September 2021, small wedding services can be held across NSW with a maximum of 11 attendees are permitted.
This includes the 5 people legally required for a wedding (the people getting married, a celebrant and 2 witnesses), 5 guests and 1 person to record the service.

So sad to hear of the passing of Aido McManis this past week.
I met him once - at Jonathan and Ruth’s wedding (which he officiated) - so obviously I didn’t know him extremely well. But, from my brief interactions with him, I could tell that he was a joyful, kind, and fun natured soul.
He joked about his young kids, showed me some super cute pictures, told me how lucky he was to have his wife and then a bit about his own wedding (which featured a helicopter?! How extra!!)
I’m devastated for his family and close friends and send them all the love in this really hard time ❤️
RIP Aido x
Now that lockdown looks like it's going to be extended further, I'm really missing these moments of joy. Couples and connection with people.
Hoping that the projections are true that this will only last a few more weeks. Keep it up everyone. It's hard, but it will be worth it in the end xx

That view 😍😍 Isn't it just amazing??
Jes and Nelson stayed at for their wedding weekend where this stunning backdrop is 😍 And just down from the backyard, during low tide, there’s a teeny tiny beach.
We climbed down onto the sand (Nelson needed a little bit of convincing, Jes was keen as a bean) and took a few minutes for portraits of the two of them before we headed to their reception.
Such a magical place. 10/10 would go back.
Day 10, 11, 12?... Who is counting? Just like myself, I'm sure a lot of you in Australia are currently feeling like there's no end in sight.
To all of you who are feeling lost or struggling to find the inspiration or strength to carry on, I want to offer some gentle words of encouragement.
We aren't where we're supposed to be at this moment, but one thing is true - not everything is cancelled… Love certainly isn't and neither is your wedding planning!
You will get married, no matter how big or small it is. So, take tomorrow as it comes, spread love and hope only and focus on the things you can control right now such as your health.
Lots of love and virtual hugs to you. More importantly, stay safe!
Can I get a high-five emoji below if you agree?

Times are hard right now. For families, businesses, people. I think one of the best things we've learned in the past 18 months is to enjoy the simpler things - take joy in the moments, rather than the things. Life is unpredictable but with connections, it's beautiful.
Love to all those couples and businesses who been affected by these most recent restrictions
