Champion golfer Cameron Smith, has confirmed he'll participate in the NSW Open at Murray Downs Golf and Country Club just outside Swan Hill.

“I love supporting Australian golf and when the opportunity arises to play, I want to be there,” Smith said.

This year, the event will run between the 14th and 17th of November.

The NSW Open is the third richest golf tournament in Australia, with an $800,000 prize purse.

However, that pales in comparison to the $20million prize purses on offer for the LIV tour events which Smith also plays on.

Greg Roberts is the CEO of Murray Downs Golf and Country Club and said Smith's addition to the field was 'epic'.

Tickets to the event are free, but registration is required through the NSW Open website.
