What is a Montepulciano? 🙃

1️⃣ Montepulciano is a town in Italy 🏘️🇮🇹
2️⃣ Montepulciano is a grape varietal 🍇

Montepulciano (the town) produces wines with the Montepulciano name on the label, but is made mostly from Sangiovese, and doesn’t actually include any of the Montepulciano grape!

Montepulciano (the grape) comes from the Italian region of Abruzzo, but it’s planted throughout much of central and southern Italy, however not near the town of the same name. “Monte” as us Aussies call it, is now being grown in the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Riverland.

This Braccesca Sabazio Rosso di Montepulciano DOC 2021 ($25) is from the Montepulciano region and is 85% Sangiovese and 15% Merlot.

What the hell is Verdejo? Is that the same as Verdelho? 🙃

Verdejo and Verdelho are different grape varietals from different regions.

Both of these grapes names have similar origin: verde means "green" referring to their early ripening. However, other characteristics of these grapes vary. While Verdejo is mostly grown in Spain, Verdelho is a common Portuguese grape varietal, primarily grown on Madeira 🇪🇸🇵🇹

A guys night in: a good book, cigar, and a Negroamaro. Negroamaro (meaning "black and bitter") is a red wine grape variety native to southern Italy, almost exclusively grown in Apulia at the "heel" of Italy.

There is no cost for your DiVino wine fridge. However, you don't get to keep the fridge forever, it is all yours for as long as you are a DiVino member.

🍷Do I need to take the DiVino wine fridge?
It’s up to you if you take the DiVino wine caller or not, but we highly recommend it as:
✔️It maintains the proper temperature of the wine. Constant temperature fluctuations damage the wine and all the love the winemaker has put into wine.
✔️It ensures you have your own stocked personal wine fridge at home ready for any occassion.

🍷What is the size of the DiVino wine fridge?
The wine cellar fits 28-bottles. The fridge is 730mm high, 450mm wide and 525mm deep.

🍷How cold does the DiVino wine fridge get?
The DiVino wine fridge is single-zone and chilled to 11-14 degrees.

🍷Will the DiVino wine fridge be noisy?
Not at all. The DiVino wine fridge is a thermoelectric fridge which is better for the environment and extremely quiet compared to a household kitchen compressor fridge.
