Katie Maxwell, the Head of Sales & Customer Success for the Mid-Market team at Uber Eats has seen her team members transfer internally due to the transferrable skills learned in sales.

2️⃣ The key to knowing if you enjoy tech sales is to not focus on the results, but where you find personal enjoyment

Adam Halliday leads a team of entry level Sales Development Reps at [Monday.com](http://Monday.com) and always coaches his team members to try out multiple sales roles before settling on it as a career.

There are often external factors such as market condition, company brand and product maturity which impact your results. As such, your results shouldn’t impact your enjoyment immediately.

3️⃣ Creating “Mutual Close Plans” is the key to ensuring deal momentum over the Christmas break

Bianca Solomon, an Account Executive for SMBs at Salesforce says that the most important thing is making sure that the deal and implementation timeline aligns with the customer you’re working with.

There’s no one size fits all approach in sales.

TAKE A SEAT? Graduate software engineer Vivian Jackson has been rattled by a WFH furniture collection notice from her former employer, B2B software giant Canvassian, after leaving to join a startup that remarkably is not Eucalyptus or Dovetail.

The young dev originally picked up a flagship Herman Miller Aeron chair from the Canvassian office during lockdown, thinking she had secretly scored a perfect chair to sit on during standups and play League of Legends at 4pm.

"It's devastating; here I was thinking I had worked at a company that invests in employee wellbeing for the long-term," she says.

Sources say she was last spotted frowning at the office chair section in IKEA. The whereabouts of the 3 computer monitors she borrowed from the office are unknown.

CULTURAL DILEMMA: After raising a seed round from Second Round Capital, B2B SaaS startup ProCess has been rocked by an internal clash over whether to purchase a ping pong table or pool table for their new Surry Hills office as they graduate from WeWork.

Founder & CEO Erica Vo is normally a staunch advocate for the ping pong table as the cornerstone of office culture, noting "Games go pretty quickly. Devs won't complain about 'all work no play' but we ensure that people can get back to crushing code faster."

But the team is divided, creating a headache for the startup's founder. CTO Alex Cominos has taken the opposite view, commenting that "I can get behind a pool table because even if you're terrible, you can still play. If you're terrible at ping pong you can't even play."

The promising startup is set to put the decision to a quadratic vote among employees, insiders say.
