Experience is not what happens to you; it is what you do with what happens to you.
Lymphoedema is swelling caused by damaged or abnormal lymphatic vessels. This can happen after for example breast cancer surgery and can develop into permanent condition.
Early intervention aims to prevent progression to chronic stage Lymphoedema.
I can introduce you to the Early Intervention Protocol of Care for Breast cancer related Lymphoedema and guide you through the process.
I trained as a nurse in the Czech Republic before permanently moving to Australia 20 years ago. I’ve always been interested in promoting wellness and helping people lead healthier lives, so shifting my career to massage therapy made sense. I got a Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2003 and have worked in retirement villages and hospitals since. During covid, I became interested in learning about Lymphatic Drainage Massage and all the benefits it provides, especially after surgery.
I bring my own table to every massage and I can set it up in almost any space. It is cleaned and sanitised thoroughly between visits. Most massages are 1 hour, but the time can be adjusted to suit you and your needs. Contact me here for a free consultation.

Have you ever tried to remove your ring, but your finger is so swollen that it just doesn’t want to budge? This reaction, this fluid retention, is similar to what happens in patients with lymphoedema. Fluid is retained, usually in the arms or legs, and it can be quite painful. Massage can help move the fluid along, reducing the swelling.
At home dry brushing is an excellent way to self-treat the lymph system. It’s relaxing and something you can do daily. Paired with regular massages, this can be a brilliant way to maintain lymph health. I can show you the techniques for optimal benefits.
The lymphatic system is a massive, important part of the body, a network of tissues, vessels and organs. It works to move lymph, a colourless, watery fluid back into your bloodstream. One of the most important jobs of this system is to protect your body against infection. Massage can gently assist this system when it has been damaged.
Keep going, keep growing!
As we become older, healthy blood and lymph flow can be impacted by immobility, hypertension, venous disease, kidney and liver failure and many more which can lead to oedema. Lymphatic drainage massage can help reduce size, appearance, improve function as well as reduce symptoms of heaviness, tension and discomfort.
Did you know that facelift surgery patients can benefit from lymphatic massage? It’s true. The consistent light strokes can prevent scarring, improve facial flexibility, decrease swelling, promote healing and reduce bruising
One of the most amazing things I’ve learnt during my massage career has been how much lymphatic drainage massage helps people. This soft touch technique moves fluid through the body. It is fascinating to me how powerful this is and how good people feel after each session.
Do one thing everyday that makes you happy!
One of the many benefits of having a home visit massage (beside not wasting time in traffic) is that you will be completely relaxed. In the comfort of your own home, I’ll bring all the materials, including the table, set everything up and work with you to focus on optimising your health journey.
Lymphoedema occurs when the lymphatic system is injured or obstructed. This can occur after surgery, from certain medical interventions and/or after injury, but people can also be born with it. It causes swelling, mostly in the limbs. Lymphatic drainage massage encourages built-up fluid to flow through the lymphatic system reducing swelling, inflammation and oftentimes, pain.
I offer free consultations. Contact me today to discuss your needs.
Cosmetic surgery is quite popular in Australia, surpassing the US in procedures performed per capita in 2021. Many people get targeted liposuction. Lymphatic drainage massage after such a procedure can offer many benefits during the healing process. Lymphatic drainage massage, because of its gentle nature, can help reduce swelling, bruising and pain, potentially shortening recovery time.
