Morning family.🇱🇧🇯🇵
Hiroki, who is our amazing manager/barista has been politely requesting (nagging) me forever to learn to make a coffee……..💪🏽🙏🏽🧑🏻💼☕️
TA DA….my first ever attempt at a coffee. A mocha. AIM HIGH lol. 🍸🍸🥂🥂🎇🎆
Meanwhile he tried to teach me coffee art - I am loving myself sick because I managed to create Saturn with my foam…..I was aiming for a cedar tree. 🪐🌲
Probably best let the experts make the coffee……..

Hello Friends
When we opened , one of the overwhelming responses was “why there”?
Raglan St has its challenges. In three months we have had some interesting, questionable things left and dropped in the cafe. Hiroki has had coffee, food etc thrown at him.
Abuse. Drug related collapses and overdoses. Fights and assaults. Covid lockdown. It’s been tough.
Today we had a member of the community band together with our locals and bring us this - a box of Lindt chocolate balls.
Why? It was their way of showing gratitude for “seeing past the sidewalk”, always being happy and respectful and more so, tell us they accepted us being here as a Lebanese - J*panese cafe in its infancy.
So to the community of Waterloo; eclectic people of all shapes and sizes, colours, sexuality, ages and across all levels of the socioeconomic spectrum we say Thankyou.
Allow us to give back and offer a Lindt chocolate ball with every coffee we sell till they all go.
Shultz-gatto from Marcel, Hiroki and the team.
Hiroki, Marcel and the team are so proud to introduce some new members of our menu now available take away and on Menulog;

Café J*panon welcomes you to our new little haven in Waterloo. 129 Raglan Street - previously Ragland Café. A little odd mix of J*panese and Lebanese flavors, style and service.
Our full menu will be introduced in a couple of weeks and will contain our fabulous fusions foods (Think Wasabi Humous, Miso Babaghanoush etc.). However we will have most of our bar foods and breakfasts available - and maybe a sinful curry as well.
We open 7am starting from Sunday 06th June 2021 - please come in and say hello, try the amazing coffee and meet Hiroki (The J*p) and Marcel (The Anon) - the creatives behind the dream that is J*panon.

Hello World.
Confirming we will be reopening Café J*panon in Waterloo.
Hiroki and I look forward again to welcoming you from the 06th June 2021
129 Raglan Street Waterloo.
See you there :)
Hi beautiful people.
Just a quick update. Our restaurant exhaust has failed completely. As such, in order to avoid flooding the apartments upstairs with the smell of oil, we are taking the hit and ceasing all deep frying activity in the cafe for the foreseeable future.
Hiroki and I are already coming up with a healthier, lighter and easier menu to satisfy local demand and continue being good local citizens.
We are keeping the Teriyaki Donburi on the menu in the meantime with all day breakfast options.
We are also scouting local premises and options to keep the fusion concept alive.
We are grateful for all your support and patience and look forward to welcoming you to our little home.
Marcel and Hiroki.
Dear Customers,
As a registered Covid-19 Safe Premises, we are doing our best to ensure the health and safety of our patrons, staff and the local community.

If it is preferred, all guests can “check – in” to our page - Cafe J*panon
Café J*panon takes your privacy very seriously and will ensure that privacy principles recommended under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 are met; namely we will “take reasonable steps to protect your personal information collected or held onsite for as long as required”
