This beauty is off to Hawkesbury Race Club Lander Toyota Ladies Day.

I can't explain to you how soft this feather covered bandeau is. Tiny saddle feathers en masse create a luxurious, soft feel that just makes you want to touch it over & over.
This gorgeous dusty pink bandeau is complete with matching diamante veil.

Many hours in this one which included trimming, sorting, shaping and attaching over 1000 feathers.

Nature sent me a millinery gift today.
A beautiful rainbow lorikeet that died when it fell out of the tree at work.
Real, whole wings are not to everyone's taste but to me they are beautiful.
The wings have been prepared & mounted on cardboard & are now in the preserving stage. I will leave them for a few months & check back when well preserved.

Happy National Wattle Day.

The first day of the Australian Spring Season is here!

Naturally moulted, collected, cleaned, dyed and cut.
These gorgeous Guinea Fowl feathers are finally making their way onto a new headpiece.

I collected these from a friend's property in Victoria a few years ago and they have been waiting patiently for their new home.

1948 - 2022

Flew back in from holidays today to this gorgeous post from .t winning the under 36 Fashions on the Field at in the hat she won at Scone Cup FOTF and an amazing outfit she created herself.

I would call that a win/win!

Congratulations to the stunning who won the race day Fashions on the Field at on Saturday.

Isobel walked away with some fabulous prizes including a gorgeous pastel mint green hat & gift certificate from all thanks to her amazing outfit made by her very talented mum.
