Quick sketch up of some emerald and tanzanite earrings I’ve had on my mind for a while 🤔💭✨

Stones supplied by from one of their super online auctions and they’re gorgeous but not quite matching in size. I knew this when I bought them as I had a flash vision of something to make up the difference 🥰

I know, I know, they’ll be separated by an entire face but I’d still like to do a little summin-summin to level them up 😜 and so that would inevitably mean diamonds!! I mean, have we met??

The start to finish journey for my Angie setting has hit a bump in the road 💥 when a small chip was spotted at setting stage this week. You can see it in 📸 4 where the dot is close to the table of this beautiful Australian Topaz.

As it can’t be hidden by a claw and because I’m there for perfection, it’s off for a teeny haircut and may lose a little of it’s 6.44cts but so worth it to ensure the longevity of this beautiful, precision cut gemstone.

Great news here though, just LOOK 👀 at the setting… so smooth and wearable and we’re all waiting for her pre Christmas reveal 🤩

✨If you’ve got gemstones at home, you know, just laying about, in specimen jars or in the back of a drawer, pause for a hot minute and pop them into a foam lined jar or small bag so they don’t knock together 🙏🤍

Visiting the site and gardens of Kinkaku-ji which translates to the Temple of the Golden Pavilion was mind blowing.

This 14th century temple is painted in gold leaf and is actually a pagoda made to house the sacred relics of the Buddha ✨💛🪭
