Love who you are, just as you are. Embracing healthy self talk and acceptance.
What a Queen!!!! The more we call out this behaviour, the more others will feel empowered to do the same.
When was the last time you looked after you?
When was the last time you prioritised your needs?
It is not selfish to pause and look after you. With burnout in the rise we are more stressed than we have ever been before.
Take time to go for a walk, sit in silence and meditate, have a nice shower or bath, write your thoughts in a journal. I personally enjoy colouring in.
Just a reminder for Self Care Sunday. BE KIND TO YOUR MIND!!! This time of year can be triggering and exhausting, Christmas gatherings and the craziness going on.
I know I often get completely overstimulated and come Christmas my social battery is in the negative.
Be kind and gentle to yourself over the silly season. You deserve it!!!

Please note, I see this from my own experiences as a fat girl. I understand each person's journey is different.
Drs, DO BETTER!
Society, DO BETTER!
Having had my health conditions misdiagnosed several times because "you just need to lose weight" because clearly once you're no longer fat, ALL of your health conditions miraculously vanish.
A lifetime of struggles to lose weight, starving myself, diet pills, therapy, exercising, self loathing, embarrassment, shame, punishing myself with overhwlrming guilt for very single thing I eat for years because clearly I could never be happy with myself as I am....I am fat and therefore I am constantly reminded I am not worthy, I am the most disgusting thing a person can be, I should either lose weight...or hide myself.
This...THIS is a story I have experienced first hand...but know so many others who have experienced the same.
This is why I choose to challenge and stand up and say ENOUGH! Change starts with us. We can do it in our everyday lives. Do better!!!!

A photo...one image after having my kids that I was deeply ashamed of.
My arms were always an issue for me. Thick, pale, jiggly. I wore cardigans, jumpers and jackets through Summer to hide them.
In this image I am dancing and in the moment I didn't feel shame...I didn't feel the shame until I saw this photo.
I now look at this with different eyes.
I was having fun and dancing like nobody was watching...even though I was exhausted. Singing along to every song and having a great time...and those arms?? Those arms have become a safe space for my children, my husband and more recently... myself. I have learned to hold myself now as well. To give myself kindness and acceptance.
Some absolutely incredible businesses who made the finals!! Well done 👏👏
Unmasking.
Wearing makeup since the age of 14 because I had bad, hormonal acne and would hide behind a wall of foundation, to me. meant that people weren't able to see the real me...the imperfect me. I would NEVER leave my house without it slithered all over my face.
As an adult I still wear makeup...but the days are becoming fewer. I'm happy to leave the house with my naked face and not feel on edge the whole time.
My kids remind me daily I'm more beautiful without it...and I am starting to agree.
