Toxic Motor Sports
Unlimited Displacement Circuit Race Team
After some challenges in sourcing parts, we've finally got everything together to get the motor back into the green machine!
A massive shoutout to Jenkins for their thorough preparation work and for getting us what we needed in a timely manner.
Now it's over to Chris to find some time between work, kids sports, and life to get this motor back together and into the boat.
Interpretation of “excessive spray” seems to be based on a “select” few photos. Here’s a more genuine and accurate one for the collection…
What a great shot! 😃
Following multiple messages and phone calls, let me clarify the rumors out there. THERE IS NO PETITION AIMED AT REMOVING EVERCRAFT BOATS FROM THE WATER. There was a letter raising concerns regarding the unsafe spray and its impact on visibility. The intention behind the letter was to again highlight the issue and urge the APBA to take necessary steps towards addressing the safety concerns.
Attached with my letter were statements and personalised letters from people involved in boat racing both past and present, this was meant to underscore the collective agreement among those involved in the sport regarding the safety issue with the spray.
MY SUGGESTION to the APBA was to consider a temporary suspension of the boats until a viable solution is in place, however the ultimate decision on how to handle this rests with the APBA.

Flashback Friday
Did you know? Before racing Toxic, Chris was tearing up the waters in a 6-liter Childsplay boat named "Cocktail"!
Cocktail got sold and the team at Childsplay Marine built Toxic which was then fitted out with the running gear from Rick Bakewell’s boat called “Top Secret”
Check out this awesome throwback image from when "Cocktail" was featured in the book "Australian Cool Boats" by Graham Lloyd.
Following my recent social media post, I want to address some discrepancies in the information I had received. Initially, I was told that my letter reached the National APBA, with a 4-year-old memo as their response. However, I’ve since been informed that my letter was not forwarded to the National APBA.
Apologies for any confusion, but my actions are based on the information I had been given. I’m still trying to uncover the full story behind what happened.
My main goal is to ensure the safety issue is finally addressed once and for all. This matter has persisted for far too long.
Awesome shots

Some pics from Friday testing
Well that was a flop of a weekend for Toxic! Unfortunately it was over before it even began. All show no go!! We found an issue in the upper drive train Friday whilst testing and was unable to resolve it. Congratulations to Deano Team Culprit Racing for taking out the Liberty cup and also a big shout out to the 5L class for being the stand out class for the weekend.

Next boat on the entry list is another unlimited displacement and Liberty Cup entrant Chris Edmunds and Toxic.
Please see update about the weekend. It has been postponed due to rising river levels.
Unfortunately in the last hour or so the Club has had to make the hard and dissappointing decision to postpone our event next weekend (29th 30th October) for what will be the third time this year. A river inspection at high tide today revealed the river levels to continue to rise and far more debris flowing down from upstream than we have seen in the last few days. Consultation with the local trawlers owners, waterways etc and other river users all agree that it is unlikely to improve over the coming days leading up to our event. Therefore based on the safety of ALL involved in the event we have made the call to postpone to a date to be advised. We understand everyones dissappointment, including the competitors , sponsors, supporters and our Town who were looking forward to this major event BUT safety must be and always should be the No 1 consideration.
We are working through advising personally all those competitors and stake holders involved and we stress that the event is POSTPONED NOT CANCELLED and we are looking at the earliest possible dates we can to get this back on.
THANKYOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

A bit of a shock to hear of Tony’s passing. We have some great memories of Tony! He spent a lot of time with our team and family and he just loved the kids!
Tony lived and breathed boat racing and was a great ambassador for the sport. He will be missed but not forgotten.
RIP Tony Walsh 🍺🍺
