Over the last 2 years, our neighbourhood of planets have kept spinning through the unknown void orbiting a burning ball 🌞 while an advanced form of bacteria struggled to come to terms with the world it has created on planet #3 🌏

This could have been a deep and meaningful post, but I just wanted to remind everyone that Kebab Club will be closing for a few weekends in December 😥 as the last 2 months of being extremely short staffed and having to work 18 hours a day has taken it's toll mentally more than physically 😫 Those of you who I've had a chance to talk to know what I mean 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I want to thank everyone for their support and patience over the last couple of months as I'm sure you've all had to experience the long queues and wait times as a result of me having to work alone most weekdays - and being short staffed on weekends hasn't helped either 🙅‍♂️

I'll have a few friendly faces helping out over the next few weeks, so 🙏 thankyou in advance for your patience while the new crew members are on their Learners Permit before becoming (hopefully) licenced Kebab Masters.

🚨 If you're a small business and the lure of UberEats or other 3rd party delivery services bringing you thousands of dollars a week entices you to give them a share of your income... 🙅‍♂️

Uber orders sat here for well over 10 mins while Uber drivers sat in our car park, waiting for "bigger" jobs... A faulty system that we restaurants get blamed and penalised for when our valued customers' order shows up cold... Chances are (based on every single time this happens, which is more often than not) the payments of these orders will be deducted from our next payment from Uber, even though we've done the right thing and marked orders as "ready for collection" well before they were ready - knowing it would take time for a driver to show up. Then when a courier appears as "arriving" and we get the order ready, the driver disappears (probably cancelled the job for one reason or another) and we are left with an order that is ready, piping hot, sealed and ready to go - BUT NO DRIVERS AVAILABLE!

Believe us when we say losing income at a time where running a small business is no longer profitable hurts... If anything, most small businesses are now just running because they have no "Plan B" 😞
•
We are all now at the mercy of UberEats, who freely gives refunds using the funds of struggling small businesses to anyone who complains without consulting the party who is being deducted the funds from first... THE RESTAURANT! While we still pay tax on the full order amount + the driver fee after being deducted the full orders' payment 😤
•
As a final note, to our valued customers...
Did you know we run our own in-house delivery service?
Yes... Uber may quote 15 minute delivery, while we quote 20-50 mins, but chances are your food won't get to you in 45 mins with Uber, having sat at the store for 20 mins getting cold before someone even collected it.
We quote a longer delivery time, but our average is 25 mins, unless we are having a ridiculously busy night and it is out of our control, but we always make it up to you on your next order 😉 because we fam ❤
