Be warned our Smooth Sailing Cruising Ale is highly sessionable, brewed with Pilsner malt and American hop varieties, this is a clean, easy-drinking beer with fruity aromatics and mild bitterness. Stock up for summer ☀️🍺

With Blair's last few weeks on deck, we've been going through the archives. Here are a few of our favourite pics at The Lord through the years!
1. Blair hosting one of The Lord's highly-rated '5 Ingredients of Ale' dinners
2. That time the Vice-President of the United States of America dropped by for a brew
3. Early days after the installation of the pub brewery in The Lord's cellars, circa 1986
4. Admiral of the ship at the helm, circa 90's
5 & 6. The 3 Musketeers (Col, Blair and Marty) at The Lord's 175th birthday in 2016 (the pub will be 185 in 2026)
It was great to be back with our Signature 5 Ingredients of Ale Dinner this week as part of
This is an event close to our heart, one we created in the heyday days of the event - an intimate Chefs Table styled experience hosted by our Head Brewer and brew team featuring the primary ingredients used to produce our ale across a thoughtful menu.

The Lord Nelson was initially built in 1836 as a residence for founder William Wells, who didn't turn it into a public house until 1841. He already had some experience running a public house, having operated The Sailors Return, later the Quarrymans Arms, on the opposite corner up to this time, before closing that venue and applying for a licence for his residence.
And aren’t we glad he did! 🍺
Our micro-brewery is housed over two levels, in the cellar beneath the bar and behind the back bar area. Small but mighty, this is where we brew all our mainstay ales and seasonal brews, destined for our bar taps. 🍻
A brilliant part of Sydney history! 🍻
The exposed sandstone and early 1800's architecture, alongside our contemporary décor, make dining Upstairs another quintessentially Lord experience.
We use some of the best local and seasonal produce and hand-pick wines from all over Australia and the world for our 2 glass rated, Best Pub Restaurant Wine List.
Join us for lunch Thursday to Friday 12pm – 3pm, and dinner Wednesday to Saturday 5.30pm - late.
