Evolving into more complex emotional themes for children has been the most important thing I’ve ever done.

Coming out of the pandemic, I kept reading stories of children struggling to identify what they were feeling and anxiety diagnoses skyrocketing as a result.

After realising my own struggles with depression back in 2015, I had to relearn to recognise the emotions I was feeling. So when it came to making this album and giving children a safe musical way to help identify their feelings, some might be for the very first time, every song became that much more important. In my entire career of well over 20 albums, I have never cried so much making music like this.

I humbly hope this album connects with children everywhere and even to the inner child in all of us.
