+++ ARMIES ON PARADE +++

It's officially 1 week until Armies on Parade day and we've been seeing some hobbyists putting the finishing touches on their projects.

Rhys has brought in his recently finished blood bowl team on a little display pitch. A great example of how small the submission can be to join the Army on Parade event!

++ Armies on Parade: The Categories ++

Armies on Parade is overwhelmingly about celebrating your hard work and our amazing hobby community! Warhammer Sydney is celebrating our Parade Day on SATURDAY 28 SEPTEMBER. To make it even easier to take part this year, there are four major entry categories.

INDIVIDUAL displays consist of the work of a single hobbyist, without needing a display board. The focus is 100% on the miniatures!

DISPLAY BOARD entries add in the extra element of a diorama, terrain or modelled board. This could be a battlefield, a small detailed scene or anything in between. The maximum size of a display board is 2’x2’ (61cm x 61cm) or 22”x30” (76cm x 56cm).

TEAM entries are for people who want to work together to build an entry! Like an individual entry, you don’t need a display board. The team size can be anything from a pair of hobbyists to a whole club!

YOUNGBLOOD entries are for hobbyists aged 12-16. You’ll need a parent or guardian’s permission to enter, but there will be special awards for the most impressive Youngblood entries.

Everyone who participates will get a pin to celebrate their entry: Just by completing a display you’ve done something amazing! Plus there will be some special awards for our favourite entries in each category, as well as the display showing off the BEST OF SKAVENTIDE.

++ Armies on Parade 2024: The Schedule ++

Warhammer Sydney's Armies on Parade Day is SATURDAY 28 SEPTEMBER. For those of you thinking of entering or dropping by to see the amazing displays, here's the key info:

WHEN Saturday 28 September, from 12pm-4.30pm.

DROPPING OFF an entry? We'll be setting up from opening at 11am, then at midday the voting starts!

VOTING for your favourite entries runs from 12pm - 4pm. We'll be announcing the results at 4.30pm.

PICK UP of entries is Saturday evening from 5pm.

If you're planning on joining in and need a bit more flexibility on these times, please check in with us and we'll do our best to accomodate your entry.

Armies on parade is less about the competition and more about getting the chance to share your work with the community.
