- Fluency in English is essential, but the ability to speak another language is a benefit as the school attracts students from a wide variety of cultures.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
Desireable
- Formal qualifications or enrolment in related undergraduate or post-secondary level courses are well regarded.
- Experience in working with metal clays would also be an advantage.
- The ability to deliver art classes in other artistic disciplines such as painting, drawing or printmaking would also be well regarded.
- Being organised but flexible is important. Week by week you will work instruct students with varying levels of skill.

School Holiday Art Classes and Workshops - Sydney Art School (SAS) | Diploma and Certificate Art Courses for Domestic & International Students - Adults & Children The Sydney Art School presents an exciting ‘School Holiday Art Class Workshop Program’ for children aged from 5 to 16.
Peter Mackie's Life Drawing class finished this term on a high note with students seeing the results of their progress with a great collection of drawings. The class attempts to use a different model every week and challenge students to move from what is known to what can be discovered whilst drawing from a model.
POP ART from Peter Mackie's Senior Transition Class. Students produced a variety of images using different techniques whilst learning about Pop Art. The stylised 'Girl with Pearl Earring' not only resulted in a lovely finished work but was also used to teach the application of tonal values applied to colour.
