BREAKING NEWS!
.. and just like that, 22 years of owning, White River Design (WRD) has come to an end.

As I sit here writing my very last letter to you, I can't help but think back over the years and to how much we have achieved over this time.

We grew from one to many, went from a home office to our premises now at The Creative Fringe, developed hundreds of new brands, rebranded businesses, won awards, published 3 books, made friends (and probably enemies!) and employed locals along the way.

My news today is to share with you that I have sold White River Design to a fabulous young woman called . Kylie is energetic, passionate and motivated - my original business is in safe hands. I will be staying on for the next 3 months to ensure that there is a seamless transition. The short story is that other than me not being the owner - nothing is changing. Clare and Jo are still going to be here as are our designers. But Kylie has big plans so watch this space.

I would like to take this time to thank my team for their dedication and loyalty. You guys have made coming to work an absolute pleasure.  To my clients, thank you so much for trusting me with your brand, I have loved getting to know each and everyone of you.

Finally to my family, who have put up with my laughter, my tears, my stories and my fears. This business has allowed me the flexibility to raise my children and be available as they were growing up. However they are young adults now and don't need me to fetch and carry them places anymore. The time for change is fitting for me.

What will I do? I'm not 100% sure at this stage but I would like to continue with brand strategy/consulting in some way or another and I'm open to suggestions, so if hear of any opportunities, please feel free to get in touch.

Cooking up a Deliciously Good Marketing Idea

Back in 2015 we were so excited to be given the opportunity to design and publish a cookbook for the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT) program, in celebration of them being in business for 5 years.

This is a great example of how planning, a vision and goals can make your marketing ideas not only turn into dollars, but create credibility and equity with your user.

For their first-ever 12WBT cookbook featuring program recipes and content, our brief was to provide the overall design template and look & feel, design and produce the full 148-page cookbook and coordinate printing and delivery. We managed to publish this book in a record 4 weeks!

We also went on to win a Sydney Design Award for this publication.

In the hands of "The Ruler" they are in control and they are motivated by maintaining high standards and priding themselves on being a leader in their industry. They want to create an environment of prosperity, security and stability. They are a big believer that rules are meant to be kept and that policy and procedures are necessary to maintain order. Rulers know that the best thing to do to avoid chaos is to take control.
