Working on making this original painting ‘Fragrance of my Sacrifice’ available as an Art Print. It’s a bit of a process… photographing the original painting in high resolution using my professional canon gear, colour correcting the digital file in photoshop, getting test prints done of the Art Print from my professional lab, colour & quality checking test print against original painting, then making any adjustments in photoshop if necessary & redoing test prints. 😅My goal is to have my Art Prints as close to the original artwork as possible. 👌🏻✨This painting will be a available as an art print in 8 different sizes very soon!! ‘THRONE OF GOD’ / Painting Process Part 2. I’ve been working on this painting for the past few weeks. It really has taken a life of its own and I’ve been enjoying it (mostly). I had Laryngitis last week, so I think this painting kept me sane amidst all the coughing! This is the largest painting that I’ve ever done. And it’s only the second realistic painting I’ve done, previously been doing abstracts. It’s certainly been a learning curve. I’ve never painted water before so that’s probably been the biggest challenge. It’s coming along nicely and I will continue to share the process.Love to hear what you’ve been working on this week. If only everything happened exactly when we wanted it to. Wouldn’t life be perfect! Or would it?We often think we know what is best for us, but really, the only one who knows that is God. He knows our hearts desires, our purpose, and our future. He has more knowledge about us than we do, therefore we can trust Him.When I am at the start of a painting, I have a vision of the finished work, and I want to just hurry up and get there. But painting isn’t like that. It takes time, patience, and layers of paint. It can can be frustrating seeing the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. But as the saying goes ‘all good things take time’ and theres just no fast tracking it. Isn’t She Lovely ♥️🤍 This song is perfectly fitting for this photograph. This photograph was taken at the aged care facility that my mum was at before she passed with dementia in 2021. There was this beautiful tree I used to drive past when I would leave from visiting. One day I pulled over on my way past and took some photos of the flowers. This is one of them. This song ‘Isn’t She lovely’ was played at my mum‘s funeral and later that year I did a painting called ‘isn’t she lovely’ which I exhibited & (somewhat) sadly sold. Though I knew my Mum would have been pretty chuffed.So, this special photograph is ‘Divine Nature #2’ from my latest collection of photography.
