charc is a family business established in 2016 by husband and wife team Pete & Em.
With a passion for cooking, Pete had developed multiple cooking methods and recipes and wanted to bring his food including housemade picklebrined pastrami, freerange poached chicken breast, sliced steak & spiced eggplant to a larger audience. Also an accomplished barista, Pete is equally passionate about serving some of the best coffee in Sydney.
Em’s extensive background in hospitality management paired perfectly and the two opened their first location in Artarmon inside a coffee roastery in 2016.
3 years later in February 2019 a second location in Sydney’s Pitt St was opened.
With two small children Pete & Em hope to build charc specialty meats & coffee around a philosophy of premium quality food served quickly and always with a smile for generations to come.
We hope you enjoy our food, coffee and hospitality and we always encourage you to get in touch in the rare case an experience at our cafe hasn’t gone as you would have expected.
