2022, the year we said 'see ya' to Sydney, and the beloved community we cultivated, housed, adored, grew with, got down with, and ultimately grieved with too.
This picture was taken at 3:55 on Dec 11. 5 min before our final flight. To the right of this picture stands a line of sentimental mo********ers many blocks long. Pictured is a collection of staff returning for a final shift on our final service, a therapeutic sayonara. Some hadn't pulled a beer in years. At any one time, we held a staff of 50, for an industry as 'transient' as hospitality, Frankie's held it's staff for years at a time in most cases, all of whom are family ongoing, and critical to the legacy of the joint.
On announcing a closing date, every single day was record breaking. Dee Snyder famously remarked on the impossibility of writing another chartbusting anthem of underdog rebellion while tanning by the 50 metre pool afforded to him by the success of his first foray in breadline hitmaking 'We're Not Gonna Take It'. It's only natural that after a period of such dynamic success, a tapering, a dilution, or a surrender of some sort sets in. Isaac Newtown mused on it also. How many fourth albums are better than the first?
So it's conciliatory, or even kinda cryptically 'lucky' that the death knell rung while we were ripping at our most venomous. Never will the world know a Frankie's other than at it's most potent, balls out version of itself.
We're not sad. We're proud. We've closed but still can't print tee shirts quick enough to meet demand, so for your allegiance, and insistent repping of what we built, and what we shared together, we thank you all.
From here out we'll drop some vids and s**t, we'll keep printing tees as long as you wanna buy them, and while highly unlikely you'll see a return under this same name, the block's been demolished but the beasts behind it haven't been. So keep that candle lit mo********ers, you never know.

Sometimes, our days are wilder than our nights. This week they were about on par. Rock and Roll never sleeps people, when we’re gone, please remember that.

‘Trivia’ used to be a dirty word around these parts. The word reeks of loserdom. DOES IT NOT? Yeh, it does. Anyway, we set about changing that with TNT Trivia, a place to rock hard, win stuff, drink beer and be cool. For our final bout, Tuesday 6th, the grand champion will be awarded a YEAR OF BEER from
Soon after, a Heavy Metal bill culminating in one of Planet Earth’s most visceral acts, PSYCROPTIC, will absolutely obliterate any stigma attached to the term ‘trivia night’.

One such guest is the mercurial Simon Hill, he’ll be doing the honours of guest vox tonight with two sets from 9.

OK so you know that we will be puling the plug on the great legacy that is Frankie's Pizza on our 10th Birthday, December 11.
But what will the evening actually entail? And how the Hell will half of Sydney fit into our 400 cap cave?
The latter we'll need to figure on the fly, but what's planned in terms of times & programming we can now share.
Doors from 4, as per our original recipe it's free entry, everyone's invited and we recommend an early arrival.
OPENING CEREMONY from 5, certain aspects of this remain smothered in secret sauce, with Sydney's REDHOOK fi***ng out the first riffs of the festus!
From 7, we bust into a bill of entertainment built on bands that typify venue ethos and speak from the heart.
Opening with Melb Punks, WOLFPACK, Syd thrashers, FLAMING WREKAGE, the Lemmy Lager Party Band (our own Motörhead tribute show feat a slew of big-name guest appearances), and finally, the band Lemmy Kilmister himself labelled "America's last great Rock & Roll band" - NASHVILLE P***Y.
Frankie's Dreamteam DJs will do what they do best, Puz will be in Booth 1, and the immortal book of RocknRoll lore is likely to grow a fresh page or more.

Here it is folks, the Final Campaign.
We thought this venue would outlive us. We've seen trends come and go and steadfastly stood for RocknRoll through it all.
This conviction has been rewarded with a loyal following, and steady flow of new heads eager to join the ranks and jump on the crazy train.
We're busier than ever, we are a drunken Goliath operating a peak performance!
But despite all of this, it's time to go to Hell!
It's time to leave our legions, farewell our four walls, and finish at our most fu***ng fearsome.
With the unstoppable momentum of Sydney City's 'infrastructure evolution' set to demolish Hunter Street in early 2023, we have decided on a date to depart.
December 11, the night of Frankie's 10th Birthday, will be our final night.
In lead to this, we've programmed a period we can be proud to depart on. All killer, and lots of lip filler.
Finalé will feature the full cast of characters who made it an un-missable Monday night for the Rockers of Planet Earth.
TNT TRIVIA will bow out with a grand prize of a YEAR OF BEER from
