The Inner West is jam-packed with incredibly diverse food and drink venues. For one week in October, fourteen participating venues will be donating a portion of their proceeds towards those experiencing homelessness in the local community.

Thank you to everyone who came to our banquet last night. It was an amazing evening filled with delicious food and lots of love. What a special night. We dined on :

South Australian prawns, green mango and pomelo san choy bow
Pork rib choy sum broth
Grilled eye fillet beef with roasted banana chilli sauce
Whole yellowtail choo chee
Southern calamari with green bean sambal
Banana fritter with ice cream

It’s cold outside so why not cosy up with us for a delicious six course banquet at Maggies Thai. Maggie will cook a feast of dishes that is not on our everyday menu. It will be on Wednesday 14th August and starts at 7.30pm. The cost will be $90 per person. BYO wine is allowed but we are also a licensed restaurant.

We haven’t done this for a while. Banh Mi this Saturday outside Maggie’s. 10am to 2pm or until sold out. It’s going to be a beautiful weekend ☀️

This Thai Massaman Beef curry takes me a whole day to make from scratch. It’s a rich, fragrant curry along with the tender pieces of meat which falls apart. The beautiful balance of flavours is something you just can’t buy in a jar.
Having grown up in Hat Yai (South of Thailand near the Malaysian border), I remember my grandma making this curry for me to eat after school. Massaman Curry is a mash up of Indian and Malay influences and as a result, the main flavours comes from spices which we would associate with Indian curries. Spices such as: cumin, coriander, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon bark, cardamom and star anise. Add to this the Thai connection of garlic, lemongrass and galangal and tamarind pulp we have the perfect curry.
Come in and try and see why I love this curry so much. By the way, this is also one of my son’s favourite dishes too.

Prepping all day for opening tonight. Now for a simple lunch salty mackerel fried rice, sator and bamboo with pink ling fish fillets and ong choy with fermented soya beans. Yum. Yum.

Hello beautiful people, just an update that Maggie’s Thai will be closed for the Easter Long weekend : Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We will reopen Tuesday 2nd April.

Bringing back our collaboration with Bloodwood and Maggies Thai, we are having a Mardi Gras Sunday Fun Day on 25th February from 1pm. Along with Polly’s resident DJ Disco Daddy who will be spinning some tunes through the eras of the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. The cost will be $130 for six courses along with 3 cocktails.
