Sport for Jove will be holding auditions for our 2025 Season, including our Summer Season XVI, from October 14 – 19.

Our HSC Symposiums were a massive hit at earlier in May, and at this past week where we achieved record numbers!

Schools across NSW attended our Crucible, Othello, Tempest and Merchant of Venice Symposiums and were met with such an amazing and positive response.

Thank you to all the teachers who brought their students along - we wish you all the best for your HSC!

This morning marks the final show of Romeo & Juliet. A huge congratulations to the cast and crew on what has been a beautiful production. Thank you to all who attended, especially to the teachers who brought in thousands of students to their first theatre and Shakespeare experience.

Dear Jovians,

Thank you for continuing to support Sport for Jove Theatre.

As we speak, Sport for Jove currently have two productions performing over three different venues. One is our glorious production of Romeo & Juliet for our education season and has reached over 6000 students across NSW this year alone. Our other production is Ester Vilar’s beautiful and intimate production of Isolde & Tristan which opened to amazing reviews at the Old Fitz Theatre at the beginning of the month. 

Both these productions speak to our two-core audiences that drive this company. One production inspiring a future generation of theatre artists and theatre appreciators, and the other our GP audience who love to see beautiful epic stories told with clarity and theatrical magic.

Many students who have seen our shows or participated in our workshops have indeed ended up being artists in Sport for Jove productions either as actors or behind the scenes. This pathway for young artists is something we take great pride in at Jove and is the focus of our EOFY campaign for 2024.

As you would all be aware the price of putting on these vital productions is ever increasing but with your help we can ensure the security and opportunity these productions provide is not lost.

"Clever, biting & appropriately eerie": A medieval romance is reborn at Old Fitz Theatre Sport for Jove brings us 'Isolde & Tristan'.

Due to illness in the cast, we have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel our next two performances of Isolde and Tristan. This includes;
Tonight Thurs 9th and Friday 10th at 7:00pm.
