Why do we cleanse our skin?
To remove dirt, oil, and impurities. Throughout the day the skin on your face comes in continually contact with bacteria, pollutants, dirt. Cleansers are designed to remove these impurities to give the skin a fresh look and feel.
However we do have good bacteria, oils and even dead skin cells which create a protective barrier called the acid mantle.
The acid mantle is slightly acidic and most harmful microorganisms don’t like that. If you use the wrong cleanser you can disrupt this acid mantle, which can lead to break outs and dehydration.

The difference between desquamation and exfoliation.

Desquamation
The common condition of the outer layer of skin (epidermis). The natural shedding process.

Exfoliation
Is the physical or chemical removal of the oldest dead skin cells from the skin's surface (stratum corneum).

What it is: A sugar and salt-based scrub for both face and body that gently buffs away dull skin cells and dry, flaky skin.
